Individuals

Many clients approach us for individual therapy. Some of our specialty areas include trauma processing, emotional regulation, anger management, coping with life challenges, adjusting to change, strengthening social skills, processing past hurts, spiritual conflict/abuse, EMDR, anxiety/depression and so many other things.

Whatever you are reaching out for, we will spend the first couple of sessions building rapport, assessing your situation and conceptualizing what you are going through. Together we will develop goals and a therapeutic direction that feels right for you. Some clients are looking for short term support, brief therapy and solution focused. Other clients are looking for ongoing support to process deeper wounds and traumas. Some of our clients simply need a safe place to talk and process life challenges, and work through identifying new possibilities.

Sometimes we recommend individual sessions, even when clients are here for family or couples therapy. This is to better assess your situation and help you learn individual coping and grounding skills. We also use these individual sessions to help you gain a sense of emotional intelligence and emotional regulation skills, and work with you to strengthen your ability to process your individual mental health battles and empower you to overcome, and be filled with hope for a better outcome. It may be assessed that we recommend substance recovery, anger management, trauma focus or another individual treatment plan.
